Care Quality Commission (CQC)

At Fortify Clinic, quality, safety, and accountability are central to how we deliver clinical services. To independently benchmark the quality of our work and provide full transparency to our NHS partners, Fortify Clinic took the strategic decision to become Care Quality Commission (CQC) regulated.

A proactive commitment to regulation

While many providers of clinical insourcing operate outside of direct CQC regulation, Fortify Clinic chose a different approach. We believe that delivering care within NHS environments should be subject to the same level of scrutiny, governance, and regulatory oversight expected of all healthcare providers.

Becoming CQC registered reflects our commitment to operating at the highest standards of clinical governance and patient safety, rather than relying solely on contractual assurances.

Inspection and quality rating

Fortify Clinic has been formally inspected by the Care Quality Commission and is rated Good across all domains and overall. This outcome reflects the strength of our governance framework, clinical leadership, and operational delivery.

The CQC assessment recognises our performance across key areas including:

  • Safe care and risk management
  • Effective clinical delivery and outcomes
  • Caring and patient-centred practice
  • Responsive services that meet patient needs
  • Well-led services with clear clinical leadership

We are particularly proud that our rating demonstrates consistency across every domain, providing reassurance to patients, clinicians, and NHS partners alike.

Raising the standard in clinical insourcing

CQC registration is not universal within the clinical insourcing sector, and only a small number of providers have undergone formal inspection. Fortify Clinic views this as an opportunity to raise standards and set a benchmark for quality-led insourcing services.

Our regulated status ensures that our services are independently assessed, continuously monitored, and aligned with national healthcare standards.

Assurance for NHS partners and patients

For NHS Trusts, commissioners, and healthcare leaders, CQC regulation provides confidence that Fortify Clinic delivers care safely, ethically, and in line with established governance frameworks. For patients, it provides assurance that care delivered through Fortify Clinic meets nationally recognised standards of quality and safety.

Our commitment to CQC regulation supports our wider mission to deliver trusted, clinically led capacity solutions that strengthen elective recovery while maintaining excellence in patient care.
